Stephen F. Olmstead, M.D. has been named Chief Science Officer
of ProThera® , Inc. With more than 25 years of experience
in clinical trials, registries and basic research, Dr. Olmstead
will be responsible for directing the company's technical
services and clinical trials.

Dr. Olmstead has long been an advocate of rigorous scientific
research on complementary medical therapies. Having graduated
from the University of New Mexico with distinction in biology
and chemistry, his academic honors include Phi Beta Kappa
and Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Olmstead earned his residency at
Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital.
For many years, Dr. Olmstead spent his career as the Clinical
Assistant Professor in Medicine at the University of Washington
Medical School in Seattle. He also served as advisor to the
King County Natural Medicine Clinic during its inception and
was a consultant to the Office of Alternative Medicine after
it was first established at the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Olmstead is board certified in both internal medicine
and cardiovascular diseases.
Dr. Olmstead is enthusiastic about starting his new career
